JESUS Loves Me, a Song to Live By

Don’t you hate remembering moments in your life that you thought were the most embarrassing, or when your feelings got hurt way back when?

After I got saved, things would come to mind that I hated remembering; dumb answers to questions, how I acted in a certain situation, people’s looks of dislike…you name it, anything to make me feel dumb or bad or not worthy of being a child of GOD.

At those moments, this beautiful little song would pop into my head. I thought it was just because I was feeling like a scared child. But the more often it came into my head, the more I realized how true that song is.

JESUS does love me. Yes, the Bible tells me so. Look at all these Bible verses!!

John 3:16 For GOD so loved the world that HE gave HIS only SON, that whoever believes in HIM should not perish but have everlasting life.

Romans 8:31-32 What then shall we say to these things? If God is for us, who can be against us? He who did not spare HIS own Son but gave HIM up for us all, how will HE not also with HIM graciously give us all things.

Psalm 36:7 How precious is YOUR steadfast love, O, GOD! The children of mankind take refuge in the shadow of your wings.

Psalm 109:21 But you, O GOD my LORD, deal on my behalf for YOUR name’s sake; because YOUR steadfast love is good, deliver me!

Romans 5:5 And hope does not put us to shame, because GOD’s love has been poured into our hearts through the Holy Spirit who has been given to us. (The Holy Spirit comes when we get saved.)

Romans 8:28 And we know that for those who love GOD all things work together for good, for those who are called according to HIS purpose.

Romans 8:38-39 For I am sure that neither death nor life, nor angels nor rulers, nor things present nor things to come, nor powers, nor height nor depth, nor anything else in all creation, will be able to separate us from the love of GOD in CHRIST JESUS our LORD.

John 15:9 As the Father has loved ME, so have I loved you. Abide in MY love.

Romans 5: 8 But GOD shows HIS love for us in that while we were still sinners, CHRIST died for us.

Romans 8:35 Who shall separate us from the love of CHRIST? Shall tribulation, or distress, or persecution, or famine, or nakedness, or danger, or sword?

Ephesians 2:4-5 But GOD, being rich in mercy, because of the great love with which HE loved us, even when we were dead in our trespasses, made us alive together with CHRIST.

The more I sang JESUS Loves ME, the more I started to believe these scriptures, and the fewer the negative thoughts got. In place of those negative thoughts came more love and faith in JESUS. Because I realized just how much I was loved by JESUS, I was able to push those negative thoughts out of my head and let the devil know that he had no power over me with those of not being loved or even liked.

The Bible tells us that JESUS left HIS home in heaven, came to earth, taught us how to live, was condemned to death, died on a cross, and buried. But, hallelujah, HE didn’t stay dead! He arose after three days and returned to HIS home in Heaven, where is waits for us. All because HE loved us. And HE still loves us. He will never stop loving us!

If the devil starts playing havoc with your mind, it is perfectly ok to sing this beautiful, true song considered to be a child’s song. And why not sing a children’s song? We are children of the MOST HIGH and we can sing anything to remind us of HIS love for us.
